Accentra Credit Union is committed to providing our members with financial flexibility and support when they need it most. That's why we offer our Skip-a-Payment Program: Skip your monthly loan payment(s) up to 2 times each year*!

We offer two easy ways to skip your payment:

  1. Download the Skip-a-Payment Form, fill it out, and return it to us! (One loan per form allowed)
  2. Get help from an Accentra associate. Call or stop in today!


Skip-a-Payment FAQs

What if I have multiple loans I’d like to skip?

You can skip any or all of your loans that are eligible in the Skip-a-Pay program up to 2 times per year. You have to submit a new form for each loan you’d like to skip. (i.e.: If you have 3 eligible loans you’ll need to submit 3 forms.)           

Please note: If you have a GAP Policy, you are only allowed to skip 1 payment over the life of the loan and it may affect your “GAP” claim payout.

Skip-a-Payment Program Excludes: real estate, credit cards, and consumer loans with original terms greater than 84 months or loans with semi-annual or annual payments.

How long does it take to process my request?

Please allow us a minimum of 4 weeks to process your request. Processing time depends upon accurate and complete form submissions.

Can I skip my next month’s payment?

In most cases you can. We normally request a 4-week timeframe to process your Skip-A-Pay in case you have any automatic payment transfers in place that would need to be stopped. If you have automatic payment transfers to your loan in place and it is less than 4 weeks before your next payment, please contact us for assistance at 1-800-533-0448 or you can stop by any of our branch offices.

I don’t know my loan number(s), can I still submit my form(s)?

If you don’t know your loan number, that’s ok! Leave that field blank and then fill in the “Description of Loan” field on the form. For example: "I want to skip my payment on my 2015 Chevy Equinox." Or, you can give us a call at 1-800-533-0448 and we can assist you.

I have a GAP Policy, am I able to skip my loan payment?

You are able to skip up to 1 loan payment over the life of the loan per your GAP policy. Skipping additional payments during your loan term is up to you but it may reduce your “GAP” claim payout if a claim is filed. If you have a GAP Policy and have question on the effects of skipping payments, please contact us at 1-800-533-0448.

What if I don’t have a printer to print my form?

You can stop in any branch and pick up a form or give us a call at 1-800-533-0448 and we will be happy to assist you in getting a form filled out. We do require a signature from all signers on each loan, so you will have to physically stop in a branch or have access to your email to electronically sign the form(s).

What if I can’t get the form to download?

Give us a call at 1-800-533-0448 and we can either email or mail you the Skip-a-Payment Form(s). Or, stop by and see us in a branch and we’ll provide you the form(s)!

I’ve already submitted my skip-a-pay but now I need to change the month I want to skip. Can I do this?

Please call us at 1-800-533-0448 as soon as possible to see if we’re able to cancel the skip-a-payment already in place. We will do our best to accommodate as we know circumstances can change. You will have to re-submit a new Skip-a-Payment form after speaking with an Accentra team member.

I’m interested in skipping my payment but I’m not sure how to fill out the form. What should I do?

The form has fillable fields so you can type right in the form electronically. If you get stuck or if you’re unable to use the form electronically please call us at 1-800-533-0448 and we will be happy to assist you.
